Fresh Lemonade Recipe if you love the Calgary Stampede

Posted by Kim Evans on 31st May 2020

With the sad closing of the Calgary Stampede for 2020 due to COVID19, I couldn't wait for lemonade.

I came up with an easy fresh squeezed homemade lemonade.

Ingredients:

2 fresh Lemons

1 fresh Orange

1/3 cup of white sugar (if using a sweetener reduce to 1/4 cup and slowly build up)

2 cups of ice

2L of water

First Cut the fruit in half

Use a hand juicer to squeeze out the juice. ( if you don't have a hand juicer you can hand squeeze and use a fork or spoon to get the remainder of the juice)

Add stained juice and sugar to a 2 L jug. Add Ice and 2 cups of the water, stir until most of the sugar has dissolved (about a minute) add the rest of the water.

The step of ice makes it so the lemonade is immediately ready and chilled, however, it is not necessary.

Depending on the size of lemons and oranges, and personal taste, add an extra 1/2 to whole lemon juiced.

Enjoy your patios and summer fun with this easy made treat.

Cheers and Enjoy!
